ALONE IN MELANKOLIA OF DARKNESS

...the castle blocks the only light...the only way to sanity sealed...finding peace among the ashes...you will...+
Sometimes seems that you have nothing to tell, nothing to whisper, alone in the nightside! Dark creatures, derived from your mind or from penumbra of the forthcoming night? Until the first daylight...the way is very long!
In your night procession, the most depressive company is the new work of a great artist, which stirred the stagnant waters of the dark music, in general! The "Melankolia III" by Mike O' Brien is a dark masterpiece, that marked a new, great era for dark-ethereal-neoclassical music!
This album has three parts, which describe the story of a long distance passage through nightime:
- penumbra
- umbra
- antumbra
The sense that you feel, during this passage is that the darkness becomes much more offensive than you have ever imagined! Also, it happens something unique in this album! For first time in history of dark music , an album has so many collaborations with great artists from the area of dark -alternative music, such as Mortiis (whose song, according to my opinion is the best collaboration song here!), Karsten Hamre, Hoyland and Immundus!
My sense , finally , is that this work is a great successor of the groups of the golden era of Cold Meat Industry! Mike O' Brien walks on footsteps of the greatest European dark artists and i hope to continue in this way!
My postscript for the end, is that the artwork is great , reminding me the artwork of legendary album of Penitent- "Melancholia"! Especially the front cover of the limited edition gives a philosophical sense, a sense of futility!
Now, i am writing these words in deep darkness, listening of this great album and wondering for the futility of our works under the light of day, but not wondering for the value of this work!
